Physician Assistant – Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice
About the role
Appalachian Mountain Health ("AMH"), a Federally Qualified Health Center network based in Asheville, NC, is hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their exceptional clinical team. This position will be delivering quality-focused primary care services for patients in Black Mountain.
Responsibilities
- Delivering comprehensive, accessible, patient-centered primary care to low-income, medically underserved and uninsured populations.
- Working closely with physicians, other advanced practitioners, behavioral health clinicians, and clinical and administrative support staff in a team-based approach to patient care.
Requirements
- Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited institution.
- Current North Carolina PA-C or NP license.
- CERTIFIED ANESTHESIOLOGISTS QUALIFICATION (CAQ).
- CPR certification.
- At least one year of experience in a primary care setting functioning at the full extent of training and licensure.
- Strong commitment to practicing in a community health setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as critical thinking skills, the ability to handle stressful situations and the capacity to function independently.
- A high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve AMH's mission.
