Physician Assistant, Main Urgent Care (Per Diem)
About the role
Organization: PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation SCD. Assesses, diagnoses, plans and implements the medical care of patients in collaboration with a physician. Functions within the full scope of licensure; accountable for the assessment, coordination delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in assigned area. Develops, implements, manages an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to hospital polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations and codes to promote a quality, highly reliable patient experience. Engages in continuous growth and development in professional practice. Follows ambulatory care and inpatient standardized procedures, protocols, policy and procedures regulated by the State of California.
Requirements
- NP - Nurse Practitioner
- CSRC - Controlled Substance Registered Certification (DEA)
- BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- National Certification
Skills
- Medical knowledge and skills applicable to perform within the scope of practice.
- Verbal and written communication skills for regular contact with young patient, adult patient, physician and staff.
- Computer data entry skills to enter patient information in Electronic Health Record.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to work with others in a flexible, cooperative manner.
- Must be able to handle varying procedures and interruptions.

Pay Range is $95.33 to $133.46 / hour

Job Shift: Varied Schedule, Per Diem/Casual, Shift Hours 8 Days Of The Week, Variable Weekend Requirements: Rotating Weekends. Weekly Hours: 0. Employee Status: Per Diem/Casual. Position Status: Non-Exempt.
