About the Role
The Physician Assistant provides comprehensive medical services at a military medical facility, including screenings, examinations, diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, and patient education for routine, acute, and chronic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Direct patient care within scope of practice
- Recognize and respond to emergencies
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and immunizations
- Promote health maintenance and preventive care
- Collaborate with healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate findings effectively to patients and providers
- Ensure compliance with all policies, licensure, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Appropriate state licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Current national certification (e.g., NCCPA)
- DEA registration
- Clinical competency in a military or similar healthcare setting
Skills
- Clinical proficiency in diagnosis and treatment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Adherence to clinical protocols and military healthcare standards
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 0730 to 1630.
