Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Requires direct oversight from a Provider
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current license and prescription writing authority in the state of Alaska
- Registered with the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP)
- Continued employment contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory state and federal background check
Roles and Responsibilities
- Screen clients for appropriate admission to medically monitored withdrawal management services using standard screening tools such as CIWA and COWS, and suicidal screening tools
- Assess for medical and behavioral health needs
- Create and communicate individual treatment plans with nursing staff and treatment team
- Daily documentation in EHR
- Evaluate client progress, working collaboratively with the clinical team
- Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) as deemed necessary
- Maintain TNR culture

- Understand the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and 42 CFR

Physical Requirements
- This role is primarily performed in an office building with standard office environment and controlled temperatures
- When working outdoors or at a job site, the employee may be exposed to construction equipment or other moving objects/equipment; reference job site specifics
- The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk/hear, see, read, and personally interact with others
