About the role
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our growing allergy and asthma specialty practice at Above Health. Our clinics provide same-day testing, evidence-based treatments, and ongoing support to help patients breathe, live, and feel better.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations for allergy and asthma conditions
- Perform and interpret allergy testing, spirometry, and other diagnostic procedures
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans including immunotherapy
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education on treatment protocols
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary care team
- Document patient encounters thoroughly in EMR system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols
- Mentor and support medical assistants and support staff
- Maintain continuing education requirements and specialty knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree from accredited PA program
- Current California PA license and DEA registration
- Current BLS/ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in primary care or specialty medicine
- Preferred experience in allergy, immunology, pulmonology, or internal medicine
- Familiarity with allergy testing and immunotherapy protocols
- EMR experience (Elation, Athena, or similar)
- Spanish or Mandarin bilingual ability
