Physician Assistant - Ambulatory OBGYN
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly collaborative APP (Advanced Practice Provider), Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to join our ambulatory OBGYN service. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who thrives in a collaborative but autonomous setting and is comfortable seeing patients in an independent capacity within a shared service model, with appropriate physician support and escalation pathways. In this role, the APP will manage a full spectrum of OB/GYN visit types independently, with collaboration with physicians as needed, allowing for autonomy with built in clinical and professional support.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and follow patients within a wide variety of OBGYN clinical diagnoses.
- Manage routine obstetrical and postpartum patients.
- Contribute to a flexible practice model that is designed to support future growth and evolving clinical needs.
- Align with an organization where PAs have mentorship and support within the Center for Advanced Practice where Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are integral members, not an afterthought.
Qualifications
- Board Certified as a PA-C, FNP, AGNP, or equivalent with a current, unrestricted applicable New York State License.
- Minimum of 2 years of ambulatory OBGYN experience preferred; highly motivated new graduates will be considered.
- Excellent communication skills, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
