Physician – Acute Care Surgery: BMG Metro General Surgery

About the role

Baptist Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Acute Care Surgeons to join their rapidly expanding surgicalist team. The position offers a base salary of $450,000 with the potential for additional earnings through optional extra shifts. A $30,000 sign-on bonus, annual quality bonus, and relocation assistance are also provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality acute care surgery services at the primary facility, BMH - Memphis (700-bed tertiary referral center).
• Operate in dedicated operating rooms with a variety of cases.
• Collaborate with a supportive team including 5 Acute Care Surgeons and a highly trained support staff.
• Participate in a balanced schedule that supports clinical excellence and physician well-being, including 7 (24-hour call shifts per month) with reimbursement for extra call taken.
• Round and manage outpatient clinics with a minimum of 9 consecutive days off per physician every month.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Acute Care Surgery.
• Current Medical License in Tennessee.
• Experience in acute care surgery preferred but not required.

• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

$450,000 base salary with potential for additional earnings through extra shifts.

Schedule
