About the role
Peak Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Physical Therapy Technician to join our team in Melissa, TX. The Technician is an unlicensed associate who works under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist in accordance with state practice acts and company policy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and treatment areas for patient use
- Assist and/or observe patients performing prescribed therapy exercises and document patient responses to treatment
- Perform basic prescribed treatments such as applying ice packs and heat pads as instructed
- Clean and sanitize equipment and therapy areas, change and launder linens
- Perform administrative tasks including assisting with patient intake, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational detail and ability to multitask
- Proficiency in the use of computers and learning new software programs
