Physical Therapy Technician

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated part-time Physical Therapy Technician to join our healthcare team in the Joppa area.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside licensed physical therapists to provide exceptional patient care and support therapeutic treatments.
• Absorb and apply hot and cold therapy treatments under therapist supervision.
• Welcome and guide patients through their appointment process.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
• Handle basic administrative tasks including phone calls and patient documentation.
• Monitor and report patient progress to physical therapists.
• Absorb and ensure proper setup and breakdown of therapy equipment.
• Absorb and assist patients with mobility and exercise routines as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Physical stamina to assist patients and handle equipment.
• Proficiency in basic computer systems for scheduling and documentation.
• Knowledge of medical equipment maintenance and safety protocols.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Evening hours needed. Flexible schedule a plus.
