A Physical Therapy Resident (PTR) is a postgraduate trainee providing direct patient care, supervising rehabilitation staff, and participating in educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement and modify treatment plans based on current practices
• Perform patient assessments, goal setting, and discharge planning
• Document and bill services accurately
• Provide a positive learning environment for students, volunteers, and staff
• Ensure follow-up care post-discharge
• Meet productivity standards

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Enrolled in a PT Doctorate program
