Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) PRN

Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant treats referred patients, ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric who are experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assists in patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities and limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Administers a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients’ capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician and Physical Therapist. Educates patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods.

Minimum Qualifications

Current state licensure as an Physical Therapist Assistant
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross.

Inpatient rehabilitation experience

Schedule

Monday-Friday(30-40 hours per week), rotating weekends and yearly holiday rotation
