Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide skilled therapy services that help residents improve mobility, strength, function, and independence while enhancing their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans according to physician orders and therapy goals
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist
- Document treatment sessions, resident responses, and progress notes accurately and timely
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes
- Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
- Participate in care conferences and team meetings as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
- Support residents in achieving their highest level of function and independence
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
- Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
- Strong communication, clinical, and documentation skills
Licenses & Certifications
- Current South Carolina Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing
- Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
- Must remain in good standing with the State Board
Pay
- Competitive pay: $30–$35/hr
