About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital that provides inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities.
• Auxiliary in implementing treatment goals, plans, and programs as directed by the physical therapist (PT).
• Support the PT in conducting therapeutic interventions aimed at meeting patients' long-term goals, such as strength training, coordination, balance exercises, posture correction, endurance training, functional skills development, and community re-entry training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.

Requirements

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
