Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Per Diem

About the role

Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment at Regency Hospital, a critical illness recovery hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
• Aid in therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' long-term goals, such as strengthening, coordination, balance, and pain relief.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.

Requirements

• Valid state PTA license.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.

Qualifications

• No weekend shifts.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment.
