About the role
Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment at Regency Hospital, a critical illness recovery hospital.
Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy services including transportation, therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
- Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the physical therapist (PT).
- Aid in therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' long-term goals, such as strengthening, coordination, balance, and pain relief.
- Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
Requirements
- Valid state PTA license.
- Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
Qualifications
- No weekend shifts.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and equipment.
