About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus - Vic Village seeks Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) to join our team. We provide world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients and value the role PTA's play in delivering compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Transportation of patients
• Implementation of treatment goals, plans, and programs as directed by the physical therapist (PT)
• Auxiliary work to carry out therapeutic interventions
• Training patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices
• Functional activities and community re-entry training
• Joint mobility and muscle lengthening
• Pain relief techniques

Requirements

• Valid state PTA license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques
