About the role
Provide in-home physical therapy care to clients, primarily former Nuclear Weapons Workers with chronic or terminal illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly in-home therapy visits lasting 1-2 hours, following physician’s care plans.
- Deliver physical therapy services, education, and training in clients' homes.
- Complete documentation of services, observations, and client progress within agency deadlines.
- Report changes or concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Participate in interdisciplinary activities, care conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education.
- Promote safety, adhere to infection control, and maintain confidentiality.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- Current license, registration, or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the applicable state(s).
- Graduate of an APTA-approved PTA program.
- Minimum six months of PTA experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record and insurance.
