About the role

Provide in-home physical therapy care to clients, primarily former Nuclear Weapons Workers with chronic or terminal illnesses.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly in-home therapy visits lasting 1-2 hours, following physician’s care plans.
  • Deliver physical therapy services, education, and training in clients' homes.
  • Complete documentation of services, observations, and client progress within agency deadlines.
  • Report changes or concerns to supervisors promptly.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary activities, care conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education.
  • Promote safety, adhere to infection control, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Current license, registration, or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the applicable state(s).
  • Graduate of an APTA-approved PTA program.
  • Minimum six months of PTA experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record and insurance.
