About the Role
Implement treatment plans, provide exercise instruction, and deliver patient education to enhance well-being in home care settings.
Responsibilities
- Follow state laws and supervise treatment plans set by licensed Physical Therapists.
- Instruct patients in exercises, gait, activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, and safety training.
- Monitor, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques.
- Adapt to diverse home environments, ensuring inclusive care.
Requirements
- Current licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, or access to public transit.
- Availability for weekend rotations.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR certification.
- Physical ability to assist with patient mobility.
