Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN)

About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant collaborates with the Physical Therapist to deliver physical therapy services. They perform delegated physical therapy procedures, modify treatments based on patient status within the supervision scope, and document patient progress. The role requires ensuring patient safety, addressing age-specific needs, and providing respectful, dignified care to patients and families. They assess and treat pain according to departmental policies, aiming to optimize patient comfort. The assistant also reports safety issues promptly and offers technical guidance to the Physical Therapy aide, coordinating departmental workload as directed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Associate degree
• Licensure: Current license as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the applicable State Board
• Experience: Entry-level acceptable
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
