About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant supports physical therapy services by performing delegated procedures under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans and modify procedures based on patient progress within established guidelines.
• Document patient progress and ensure safety during therapy sessions.
• Address age‑specific patient needs with respect and dignity.
• Assess and manage patient pain according to departmental policies.
• Identify and report patient safety concerns promptly.
• Provide technical guidance to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate departmental workload.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the State Board of Physical Therapy.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification.
