Physical Therapy Assistant - Per Diem

Position Summary

Implement physical therapy programs and treatments under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to enhance patient independence and functioning. Member of the patient care team, committed to providing respectful, culturally sensitive, and quality care that aligns with the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

• Execute individualized treatment plans and provide direct therapy services.
• Assist Physical Therapists with evaluations, tests, and complex procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to develop and adjust therapy programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and education.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support a healing environment by fostering trust and addressing emotional and physical needs.
• Engage in professional development and mentoring activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current MA Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Proficiency in documentation, communication, and teamwork.
• Ability to adapt to varied and unpredictable clinical situations.
• Physical ability to perform patient transfers, lifting, and extensive standing or walking.
