Physical Therapy Assistant - Part Time

Role Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being within the home care setting, following a plan of care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state laws and perform only procedures within training and scope, reporting any plan adjustments to the supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and communicate patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques.
• Provide care in diverse home environments, respecting all clients regardless of background.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current license, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation.
• Preferred: CPR certification and ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
