About the role

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being, following established care plans and under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform only procedures qualified and trained for, adhering to state laws and supervising PT's guidance.
• Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members within scope of practice.
• Adapt to various home environments, ensuring inclusive care regardless of patient background.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure, registration, or certification in physical therapy assistance.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Availability for weekend rotations.

Skills

• CPR certification (preferred).
• Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance (preferred).

Pay

The role offers a total cash target pay ranging from $55,329 to $82,993 annually, including per visit and hourly pay, based on productivity and experience. The pay structure varies by visit activity and productivity.
