Physical Therapy Assistant, Home Health Visits

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a per-diem opportunity performing home health visits for the Montgomery County Maryland Visits office. This office services adult and geriatric patients on a per visit basis in territories throughout Frederick County, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Other activities, as requested.

Requirements

• Current licensure or certification in the state of MD.
• Graduated from a two-year college level program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma, OR
• One year of appropriate experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
• At least one year's work experience under the supervision of a qualified Physical Therapist.

Pay

Base Pay, depending upon qualifications: $43.00-51.00 per point.
