About the role
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to enhance patient well-being within a home care setting.
Responsibilities
- Follow state-specific laws and the treatment plan set by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques within scope of practice.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice physical therapy in the state.
- CPR certification and a valid driver's license with dependable transportation.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse home environments and assist with mobility tasks.
- Willingness to work a weekend rotation.
