Physical Therapy Assistant - Full Time

Position Overview Seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver hands-on therapy interventions under the supervision of a physical therapist, following the physician’s plan of care. Key Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy services, treatments, and procedures aligned with patient needs and safety.Communicate regularly with patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and progress.Report patient observations and changes in condition to supervisors or physicians.Assist in relieving pain and restoring or developing functional abilities.Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on patient care plans.Plan discharge procedures, prepare instructions, and communicate discharge plans.Participate in in-service programs and maintain compliance with professional standards.Ensure confidentiality, document clinical notes accurately, and complete required documentation timely. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited PTA program.Current, unrestricted state license as a PTA.Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and policy compliance.Preferred: strong organization, communication, attention to detail, time management, and experience in home health therapy and OASIS documentation.
