About the role

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Primary Care Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visits in homes, ALF's, and ILF's under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.
  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans.
  • Conduct exercises with patients and educate them on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises.
  • Document patient progress and communicate regularly with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and instruct patients on therapeutic exercises and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring equipment is properly sanitized and maintained.
  • Monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Auxiliary in the development and implementation of discharge plans, including providing patients with instructions for continued care and recommending appropriate follow-up services.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity necessary to assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic activities.
  • Pelvic Health Experience and/or interest (preferred).

Qualifications

Pay

This is a salary-based position, with the opportunity to receive a monthly bonus.

Schedule

This is a full-time, salary-based position. There are two schedules available:

  • Monday-Friday (8:00AM-5:00PM)
  • Monday-Sunday (7:00AM-7:00PM), 7 days on, 7 days off
