Physical Therapy Assistant

About the role

Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, assists in the practice of Physical Therapy. Performs treatments for in and outpatients aimed at restoring function, preventing disability, and relieving pain according to treatment plans established by a licensed physical therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient assessments and evaluations
• Administers physical therapy treatments as prescribed
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Monitors patient progress and reports to supervising therapists
• Ensures compliance with all safety protocols and regulations

Requirements

• Florida Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA)
• A.S. or A.A.S. degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for patient care and rehabilitation
