Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary
As a Physical Therapy Assistant at HCA Healthcare, you’ll improve the lives of patients by providing individualized care that restores mobility and independence.
Qualifications
- Associate of Science (A.S) degree or Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Experience in appropriate healthcare setting preferred
- Current state of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant license
- Current FIM (Functional Independence Measure) required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association (AHA)
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient education, including post care planning, proper use of supportive devices and equipment, and gait and functional training
- Record, monitor, analyze and review clinical data
- Provide feedback to therapist regarding possible modifications to treatment plan and goals based upon patient performance
- Adapt recognized therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet the needs of the patient
- Collaborate with patient service departments and community service agencies to coordinate and conduct educational outreach programs and learning activities
- Utilize appropriate methods and material for effective learning, monitor response to education and adapt program as needed
