The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) carries out treatment programs outlined by a Physical Therapist, collaborating to implement programs that promote maximum functional mobility and deliver quality rehabilitative services. This role is integral to the healthcare team, contributing skilled services and acting as a resource for other clinical staff. All duties are performed with empathy and compassion toward patients, their families, and coworkers.

Requirements
- Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant Program accredited by The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), or equivalent.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the state of North Carolina.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
- Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, including the ability to assess data reflective of a patient’s status and interpret information needed to meet age-specific needs.
- Delivers outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast’s Standards of Excellence.
