Physical Therapist Weekend
Weekend position consisting of working 46 out of 52 weekends at Corewell Health South Medical Center, SJ, as the need arises. The weekend is defined as shifts between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, though specific times may vary by location and need. Position includes working at least one summer and one winter holiday weekend.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough and complete evaluations of patients properly referred according to Michigan law to determine rehab potential and establish an individually based treatment plan.
- Administer physical therapy treatments according to professional standards and department procedures to maximize patient potential and achieve treatment goals set in coordination with the patient, family, physician, and other team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation, department records, and reports for all assigned patients to provide a clear record and communicate the treatment plan and progress to the referring physician.
- Maintain commitment to professional growth and competency to ensure quality of care.
- Contribute to the efficient and productive operation of rehab services.
- Maintain effective communication with other members of the rehab team regarding physical therapy programs to ensure understanding and better patient care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited school of physical therapy (APTA).
- LIC-Physical Therapist – State of Michigan required.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC American Red Cross required.
