Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
About the role
Join as a traveling Physical Therapist where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adults with post-acute and chronic conditions, including mobility and functional restoration.
- Document care using common systems in skilled nursing facilities and comply with Medicare/Medicaid regulatory requirements.
- Work independently and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is required.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and treat adults with post-acute and chronic conditions, including mobility and functional restoration.
- Experience with documentation systems commonly used in SNFs and Medicare/Medicaid regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
- Prior travel PT experience and proficiency with restorative nursing programs are preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA, an active New Jersey Physical Therapist license, BLS certification, experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting, demonstrated ability to evaluate and treat adults with post-acute and chronic conditions, including mobility and functional restoration, experience with documentation systems commonly used in SNFs and Medicare/Medicaid regulatory requirements, and ability to work independently and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred skills include prior travel PT experience and proficiency with restorative nursing programs.
Benefits
Guaranteed hours of 36 per week; scheduled 40 hours.
Pay
Details on pay will be provided upon application and interview.
Schedule
Shift: Days.
Shift hours: 08:30–16:30.
Scheduled as 5x8 with a 30-minute meal break.
