About the role
This unique opportunity is ideal for a talented Physical Therapist looking to lead and inspire a team while providing hands-on patient care. In this role, you’ll spend significant time treating patients and also support our Regional Director with overseeing therapists, ensuring high-quality care across Senior Communities and Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Responsibilities
- Conducting initial and ongoing evaluations of residents' physical capabilities, including strength, mobility, and endurance.
- Identifying barriers to independence and functional movement.
- Developing individualized treatment plans to improve residents' mobility, strength, and functional independence.
- Addressing challenges related to mobility, balance, and pain management.
- Assisting in recovery from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses through targeted physical therapy exercises and techniques.
- Helping residents improve their ability to perform activities of daily living, such as walking, dressing, and transferring.
- Implementing strengthening, flexibility, and coordination exercises to enhance motor function and prevent further injury.
- Educating residents and staff on fall prevention techniques and mobility strategies.
- Recommending and training in the use of assistive devices like walkers, wheelchairs, or braces.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care.
- Participating in care planning meetings to set and review therapeutic goals.
- Maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatments, and progress to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school with a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
- Licensed as required by the State of Wisconsin to practice as a Physical Therapist.
