Physical Therapist (PT)PRN, Inpatient Rehabilitation
About the role
Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team at Knoxville Rehabilitation Hospital. We are a 57-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital recognized by the Joint Commission and CARF. The ideal candidate will perform initial and ongoing assessments, establish a plan of care, and administer various physical therapy treatments.
Responsibilities
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
- Establishes a plan of care appropriate to the patient’s needs and capabilities.
- Carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning.
- Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
- Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
- Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapist License in Tennessee.
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a rehab setting is preferred.
Skills
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment are essential.
