About the Role
Theracare is currently seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to deliver exemplary care and enthusiasm in working with our adult population in the Skilled Nursing Care setting. You will evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with physician orders, using therapeutic procedures to restore muscle strength, coordination, body alignment, relieve pain, and improve movement and function. As part of a dedicated therapy team, you will provide support and information within the area of Physical Therapy.
Therapy services will be provided in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities, or Home Health Care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients through therapeutic procedures to restore loss of muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment
- Relieve pain and improve movement and function
- Work as a member of a dedicated therapy team
- Provide therapy services in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities, or Home Health Care
- Demonstrate competency in applying principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in Physical Therapy
- Maintain knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Physical Therapy
- Current state license/certification
- Current registration with the American Physical Therapy Certification Board
- Minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation preferred (new grads welcome to apply)
- Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to provide therapy services in various settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities, or Home Health Care
