Physical Therapist (PT) - Per Diem/PRN

About the role

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is a facility dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals with various medical conditions such as brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs and physician direction.
• Delegates and directs all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Serves as an educator for patients, families, students, co-workers, and self.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care, development of therapy services, and program delivery.
• Evaluates assigned patients and establishes appropriate treatment goals and programs.
• Develops comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize outcomes and return to community activities.
• Collaborates with other clinical/therapeutic services and community resources to coordinate treatment programs.
• Attends appropriate clinical meetings to facilitate coordination.
• Provides patient education, including the development of comprehensive and progressive home programs with instruction to the patient, family, and other caregivers as appropriate.
• Prepares for patient discharge, including ordering necessary equipment and recommending therapeutic services to ensure a safe and effective discharge.
• Evaluates patients in actual or simulated home, school, work, or community environments to facilitate a return to community activities, making recommendations for necessary adaptations or training.
• Identifies and manages various levels of care necessary to ensure care plan delivery.
• Delegates and supervises the utilization of PTAs and support personnel to maximize patient outcomes and ensure effective service utilization.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Certified BLS.

Pay

$59/hr + Shift Differential

Schedule

Per Diem/PRN, 8:30AM to 4:30pm weekday and weekend needs.
