About the Role

The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospital settings, they develop personalized, evidence-based rehabilitation plans using exercise and manual therapy. Collaboration with healthcare professionals and educating patients on self-care are essential duties.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement evidence-based therapy techniques
  • Operate specialized rehabilitation equipment
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members
  • Educate patients and families on self-care and home exercises
  • Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Valid state Physical Therapist license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Physical ability to perform manual therapy and move equipment
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision
  • Capacity to handle pressure and irregular activity schedules

Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy preferred
  • Prior clinical experience preferred (new graduates welcome)
