Physical Therapist (PT)

About the role

Hamaspik of Kings County, Inc. is currently seeking per diem NYS Licensed Physical Therapists to provide Early Intervention services in home-based settings. We serve all 5 NYC boroughs, and are currently looking for providers in Far Rockaway, Queens, and the Five Towns area of Nassau County (Lawrence, Cedarhurst, Woodmere, Hewlett, and Inwood). At Hamaspik, we value a team-centered, multi-disciplinary therapeutic approach, ensuring that every child receives comprehensive, individualized care.

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with children diagnosed with developmental delays
• Creating family centered treatment goals to facilitate carryover and maximum progress
• Monitoring & assessing intervention effectiveness utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach
• Maintaining appropriate documentation of therapy sessions and caregiver communication
• Educating families and caregivers about the therapeutic process

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children who have disabilities, in the Early Intervention
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Desire to improve the quality of life of children with special needs
• Bilingual a plus (Yiddish and Spanish)
• DOH fingerprinting clearance
