About the role

The Physical Therapist provides direct rehabilitation care to patients in a skilled nursing environment, focusing on improving functional outcomes and quality of life. They develop and modify treatment plans, oversee therapy staff, and ensure compliance with laws and standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow treatment protocols and assess and set measurable goals for patients
• Chart accurately and utilize therapy software
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
• Maintain patient safety and provide excellent customer service
• Participate in community health initiatives
• Assist in patient evacuation during emergencies
• Demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality
• Implement and evaluate treatment plans
• Supervise therapy staff and maintain documentation
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and work effectively within a team
• Uphold ethical standards in a patient-centered environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program
• Hold an active physical therapy license
• CPR certification
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to make independent decisions and maintain confidentiality
• Demonstrate professionalism, good body mechanics, and effective communication
