About the role
The Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient-PRN is responsible for the provision of Physical Therapy services for an inpatient and/or outpatient population from age 15 and older including, but not limited to, evaluation, evidence-based intervention, equipment recommendations and modality application, under the referral of a physician or qualified non-physician practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Administers PT evaluations to inpatients and outpatients and determines appropriate treatment programs and/or equipment needs, integrating age specific needs and issues for physical medicine rehabilitation population.
- Develops a patient-centered treatment plan based upon the evaluation, patient goals and age-related issues/needs to optimize treatment and function.
- Responsible for assuring the treatment plan supports medical necessity and incorporates evidence-based treatments and outcome measures.
- Accurately completes documentation in compliance with department and regulatory timelines to ensure a complete medical record that supports skilled services and appropriate medical necessity.
- Other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program.
- Physical Therapist IN state license required.
- Must have current CPR certification in accordance with AHA standards or be able to obtain within 4 weeks of start date.
- 1-year experience with adult physical rehabilitation preferred.
