Physical Therapist - PRN - Acute Care - Weekends

About the role

The Physical Therapist plans and delivers patient-centered physical therapy treatments in accordance with professional standards and organizational values.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial patient assessments and develops treatment plans.
• Implements and monitors ongoing therapy interventions.
• Provides patient education tailored to individual rehabilitation needs.
• Reviews patient records and observes progress to adjust treatments.
• Supports professional growth through self-initiative and skill enhancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist (Tennessee required).
• Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency in understanding complex written materials and patient records.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Includes physical activities like standing, lifting, reaching, and patient contact, with the ability to react quickly in emergencies.
• Visual acuity and exposure to bodily fluids and hazardous materials are necessary.
• No supervisory duties are associated, but guidance may be provided to therapy assistants.
