About the role
Assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs designed to improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervises and assumes responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
Responsibilities
- Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
- Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
- Initiates, develops, and maintains collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
- Works productively and efficiently in daily operations.
- Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
- Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Required)
- Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (Preferred)
- Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (Preferred)
- Physical Therapy License (Required)
