About the Role
Provide per-diem orthopedic physical-therapy services to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries (e.g., hip and knee replacements).
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on safe mobility, transfers, and monitor progress.
- Document patient data in compliance with regulations and billing guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide patient and support-system education.
- Perform functional training, including activities of daily living (ADLs), transfers, and community reintegration.
- Communicate scheduling needs and maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred).
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- CPR certification.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
