Physical Therapist - Per Diem

Hourly pay range: $38.67 - $59.94. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Flat per diem rate: $51.00 per hour.

About the Role

Per diem/part-time position at Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL. Weekend shifts: (2) 8-hour weekend shifts required per month, 8am to 4:30pm. Includes 1 summer and 1 winter holiday per year.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct physical therapy services to patients.
• Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill through comprehensive and insightful evaluations and development of individualized, effective treatment plans to achieve functional goals.
• Evaluates patient’s physical and functional status; plans and implements therapeutic programs including prevention, identification, correction, and alleviation of movement dysfunction.
• Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care.
• Stays updated on developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy.
• Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience with demonstration of clinical independence in an Acute-Care setting (preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (required).
• Master's Degree (preferred).
• Current State of Illinois Physical Therapist licensure.
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider.
• For first-time test takers: notification from Continental Testing Services advising of receipt and approval of application for licensure, “Authorization to Test” (ATT) letter from Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy, confirmation of computer-based exam, and State of Illinois Physical Therapy license within 90 days of hire.
