Physical Therapist - Per Diem

About the role

The Physical Therapist (PT) conducts patient examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and develops treatment plans to improve patient functioning, adhering to professional standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and system review.
• Determine treatment appropriateness and establish individualized care plans.
• Utilize various physical therapy techniques to achieve desired outcomes.
• Conduct reexaminations to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Coordinate patient care, delegate tasks, and supervise support staff.
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding and compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in outcome analysis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and wellness services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy program.
• Current New York State Physical Therapist licensure and registration.
• At least one year of relevant clinical experience.
• Preferred: DPT or Master’s in Physical Therapy.
