About the role

The Physical Therapist Outpatient Per Diem provides patient evaluation and treatment according to established policies and procedures for their discipline to patients of all ages and populations. The role works in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic with a strong orthopedic and manual therapy program, treating a diverse patient population including those with orthopedic, neurological, sports-related injuries, and specialty diagnoses such as men's/women's health, vestibular, lymphedema, oncology, concussion, and LSVT Big.

Responsibilities

  • Performs patient evaluations.
  • Develops and implements treatment plans in accordance with licensure, scope of practice, and department standards.
  • Evaluates patients according to department standards.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the profound and prolonged impact of disability upon an individual's physical, emotional, social, economic, and vocational status.
  • Documents is compliant with HIMS/QA standards and meets all customer and medicolegal needs.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, flexibility, and timeliness in managing workload and processes required to meet patient care and clinic needs.
  • Maintains a level of productivity that supports patient access and clinic needs.
  • Completes hospital and departmental requirements according to established departmental procedures including though not limited to: accurate and timely completion of Workday time-keeping, completing all competencies and web compliance assignments, and ensuring certifications are active.

Requirements

  • Certification required within 90 days of hire and re-certification within 30 days of expiration: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association (American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers).
  • Licensure Required: Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of NH.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team, patients, and others.
  • Knowledge of growth and development across a diverse age and multicultural population.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The pay rate for this position is $50-$60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
