Physical Therapist - Outpatient, Per Diem

About the role

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center's Rehab Medicine division is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team. The role focuses on providing exceptional care to patients in need of rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting. You will work alongside a team of dynamic and talented therapists, utilizing your skills to help patients recover from a variety of conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Examines, evaluates, diagnoses, determines prognosis and provides intervention.
  • Reports findings to other health care team members.
  • Provides discharge recommendations, exercise programs, and family teaching.
  • Plans therapy involving physical exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.
  • Participates in and supports in-service education, student programs, volunteer/observation programs, Professional Practice Committee, committees, etc.
  • Provides documentation, billing, and record keeping.
  • Participates in compliance audits.
  • Captures and implements an annual plan for professional development.
  • Delegates tasks to support personnel.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree if graduate prior to 2002; minimum of Master's degree if graduating in 2002 or later.
  • Licensed PT with NH eligibility.
  • BLS.

Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following specialties: Neurology, Pelvic Health, Lymphedema, Orthopedics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and rehabilitation techniques.

Skills

  • Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment and technology.

Pay

This is for a per-diem, non-benefited, outpatient physical therapy position with the potential for emphasis on almost any area of specialization within the outpatient rehabilitation department.

The schedule for this position is per diem.
