Physical Therapist - Outpatient, Per Diem
About the role
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center's Rehab Medicine division is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team. The role focuses on providing exceptional care to patients in need of rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting. You will work alongside a team of dynamic and talented therapists, utilizing your skills to help patients recover from a variety of conditions.
Responsibilities
- Examines, evaluates, diagnoses, determines prognosis and provides intervention.
- Reports findings to other health care team members.
- Provides discharge recommendations, exercise programs, and family teaching.
- Plans therapy involving physical exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.
- Participates in and supports in-service education, student programs, volunteer/observation programs, Professional Practice Committee, committees, etc.
- Provides documentation, billing, and record keeping.
- Participates in compliance audits.
- Captures and implements an annual plan for professional development.
- Delegates tasks to support personnel.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree if graduate prior to 2002; minimum of Master's degree if graduating in 2002 or later.
- Licensed PT with NH eligibility.
- BLS.
Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following specialties: Neurology, Pelvic Health, Lymphedema, Orthopedics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and rehabilitation techniques.
Skills
- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment and technology.

Pay
This is for a per-diem, non-benefited, outpatient physical therapy position with the potential for emphasis on almost any area of specialization within the outpatient rehabilitation department.
