Physical Therapist – Ortho/Spine
About the role

As a Physical Therapist, you will treat general orthopedic/spine patients of all ages and guide them through appropriate individualized rehabilitation programs to meet the goals and objectives of their plan of care. You will provide consultative and rehabilitative treatment services, work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based treatment plans, and maximize functional outcomes.
This role involves continual learning to advance your practice and educate others while working within a large, dynamic rehabilitation team to provide exceptional patient- and family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Treat general orthopedic/spine patients of all ages.
- Guide patients through individualized rehabilitation programs aligned with their plan of care.
- Provide consultative and rehabilitative treatment services.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Maximize functional outcomes through comprehensive care planning.
- Seek continual learning opportunities to advance practice and educate others.
- Work within a large rehabilitation team to deliver exceptional patient- and family-centered care.
Schedule
Full-time, 100% FTE, day/evening shift scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM. Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Required).
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin (Required upon hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required within 3 months of hire).
- 2 years of prior relevant experience (Preferred).

UW Health Science Drive Medical Center, located on Madison's west side, is an 84,000-square-foot facility housing physician and rehabilitation professionals in Cardiology, Integrative Medicine, Orthopedics, Radiology, Spine, and Sports Medicine. The on-site Fitness Center supports patient care and post-discharge education, fostering face-to-face collaboration among care teams.
