Physical Therapist OP - Outpatient Ortho

About the Role

The Physical Therapist provides comprehensive physical therapy services, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. They collaborate with healthcare team members, participate in program development, and assist in meeting clinical goals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations, review patient history, perform assessments, and communicate findings to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
• Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation results, monitor patient progress, and modify plans as needed while consulting with other professionals.
• Complete discharge planning and follow-up, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of care activities, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Manage time effectively, maintain productivity, and ensure patient access through flexibility, empathy, and professionalism.
• Engage in continuing education, serve as a clinical instructor, and mentor new staff, students, and volunteers.

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral) from an accredited institution.
• Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
