About the Role
The physical therapist evaluates, plans, and implements rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities, ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians to develop, evaluate, and update treatment and discharge plans based on patient needs.
- Develop and adjust care plans with input from patients and families, providing education and discharge instructions.
- Implement and modify treatment activities, selecting appropriate interventions to meet patient goals.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental guidelines.
- Serve as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.
- Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and promote effective communication within the team.
- Ensure safety, infection control, and cost-effective use of materials and equipment.
- Engage in professional development, complete required education, and participate in training of new staff.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist and certified in Basic Life Support.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
