Physical Therapist Outpatient (Ortho)

About the Role

The physical therapist evaluates, plans, and implements rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities, ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop, evaluate, and update treatment and discharge plans based on patient needs.
• Develop and adjust care plans with input from patients and families, providing education and discharge instructions.
• Implement and modify treatment activities, selecting appropriate interventions to meet patient goals.
• Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental guidelines.
• Serve as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.
• Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and promote effective communication within the team.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and cost-effective use of materials and equipment.
• Engage in professional development, complete required education, and participate in training of new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist and certified in Basic Life Support.
• Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
