Physical Therapist OCS Resident (TEMP) - Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

About the role

The Physical Therapist-OCS Resident at Montage Orthopedics and Sports Medicine - Ryan Ranch is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care under the leadership of the Director of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with referring providers to assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to promote optimal outcomes.
• Maintain clinical excellence and community engagement through outreach and partnerships with local healthcare providers.
• Evaluate referrals and patient records, conduct assessments, and document progress in accordance with clinical best practices.
• Administer appropriate treatments, supervise support staff including PTAs, and ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation and billing.
• Contribute to the development of the rehabilitation program, stay current with professional education, and foster strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and external providers.
• Uphold safety standards, maintain confidentiality, and reflect the organization's values in all professional interactions.

Requirements

• Zero to three years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic.
• Computer literacy and prior experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strong telephone communication skills.
• A working knowledge of medical terminology, efficient filing systems, and standard office equipment.
• The ability to manage shifting priorities, handle emergency situations, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong language skills to read and write simple correspondence, document treatment plans and billing codes accurately, and communicate clearly with physicians, patients, vendors, and staff.
• Basic mathematical skills and the ability to follow straightforward written or verbal instructions while applying sound reasoning in routine clinical and administrative situations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited physical therapy school.
• CA State Board of Physical Therapy licensure or has applied for CA state licensure.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
